Nufront joined 2018 World Summit on the Information Society(WSIS)

March 19th -23rd 2018, more than 2,500 information and communication technology (ICT) experts from all around the world have gathered in Geneva to participate the 2018 World Summit on the Information Society (2018 WSIS).

 

In this year's forum, besides the theme of sustainable development, the development of information and communication technology and 5G standard has also become the focus of this forum. In recent years, a large number of communication manufacturers have issued their own 5G development plan. According to the schedule released by International Telecommunication Union (ITU), 5G standard will be published. 2019 is the deadline for submitting 5G technology solutions to ITU, and participating in the formulation of 5G standard has become one of the main battlefields for all parties.

 

The Chinese company Nufront visited the ITU secretary-general, Zhao Houlin, and the special assistant to the secretary-general, Xie Feibo. In addition, the representative of Nufront introduced their ultra-high reliable and ultra-low time delayed wireless communication technology in this forum.

 

From 2G, 3G to 4G, the wireless communication is mainly face to the consumer market, such as the consumption of mobile phone. In the era of 5G, the telecommunication giants finally realized the importance of the industrial market and began to study the wireless communication technology with high reliability and low delay. However, it will take a long time from system design, research and development to deployment and application for a new communication technology, especially in the field of industrial wireless communication technology.

 

In 2006, relying on the profound technology accumulation and keen insight, Nufront began to do research and develop the EUHT system (Enhanced Ultra High Throughput) with high reliability, low latency, ultrawideband and large capacity. As a world leading technology, EUHT technology is already in commercial use. Since 2014, EUHT technology has been tested and verified in China's high-speed railways, metros, highways and rural areas. In 2016, EUHT technology has been applied in Beijing-Tianjin Intercity High-Speed railway and rural wireless broadband industrialization in Guangdong province. The industrialization application of Guangzhou metro and Guangzhou-Shenzhen expressway was completed in 2017. In December 2017, EUHT technology was applied in Guangzhou metro Line 14. Under the speed of 120km/h, the EUHT system realized the real-time transmission of 30-channel HD video in single train. Compared with the EUHT system, the 4G technology only can realize the two -way transmission. The technical performance of the EUHT system is 15 times of 4G technology.

 

At this conference, all participants responded strongly to EUHT technology. Technical experts from Britain, Japan, Italy and other countries had in-depth technical discussions with Nufront, and all of them were expected the application of EUHT technology in high-speed railways, metros, intelligent buses and intelligent surveillance in their own countries. Representatives from developing countries expressed keen interest and invited Nufront to join ITU-D, so that developing countries could more efficiently understand, import and apply EUHT technology. Therefore, they could rapidly reduce the information technology gap between developing and developed countries.

 

When global communication operators and manufacturers are trying to introduce the consumer electronic enhancement bandwidth 5G technology, Nufront EUHT technology has already solved the technological problems of 5G application in the Internet of vehicles. Experts claim that the EUHT technology crosses the regular path of 5G technology standard, which was proposed by the international communication standardization organization. It advances three years to achieve the 5G application scenarios with  high reliability, low latency (uRLLC) and high capacity. At the same time, EUHT technology plays an important role in the development of Internet of vehicle and intelligent industrial interconnection.
